Data from the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), based on the National Household Sample Survey (Pnad), conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), between May and November 2021, confirm this information: of the 74 million Brazilians who were working in the period, 8.2 million worked exclusively from their homes, equivalent to 11% of the total.
