3 precautions to increase the life span of headsets

Check out some tips to put into practice and make sure your headset lasts longer:

Do not pull the cables or wrap them around the device

When you disconnect the headset from the equipment, remove it holding by the plug, without pulling the cable.  Another common action, but which can cause damage, is to wrap the wires around the headband. Avoid doing this as much as possible, because when we "bend" the cables with small loops, they can break. The ideal is to organize them by wrapping them in larger circumferences.

Store the headset in a suitable place

Besides paying attention to how to wrap the wires, other precautions are essential when storing your headset.

Store your product in dry and protected places, in drawers or inside boxes. Also do not let dust accumulate, because small particles can damage the inside of the headset.

Carry out the right cleaning frequently

If you use your headset daily, it is best to clean it once a week. Remove the accessories and clean the entire length of the headset with a dry cloth. Do not use soap and water.  Chemicals are not recommended, as these solutions can also cause damage. Accessories such as as earcushions and voice tubes should be replaced every 6 months.
